As of 2019, I am a Welding Merit Badge councilor for Scouts, BSA. If you are a Scoutmaster in Atlanta Area Council who would like to have the Welding Merit Badge done for your Troop, please send a request via the form below. I can setup and run a one day class for your troop at your location with up to six Scouts 14 years old or older. All content in the Merit Badge book is covered and all requirements can be done during the one day session. Cost is $20 per Scout to cover the materials and consumables cost for each Scout.
Last week I had a great opportunity to help out a friend who is also a Scout but in a different troop with his Eagle Scout Project. Charlie’s project is building shelving for a local church. So I loaded up my gear and headed over to house to weld the support brackets in place on his project. While I was there I also gave Charlie a lesson on MIG welding techniques. (Photos coming soon)
